League Games
On Monday, the boys' football team kick-started their season. Sporting our brand new kit, the boys did the whole school proud in their first two games. The first saw us lose 6-0 to Djanogly Strelley, while in our second game Rosslyn took the 3 points with a 4-2 win.
Week 2 of the boys' league saw the boys perform tremendously again. First up was a 3-1 defeat to Ambleside, followed by a 5-0 loss to Glenbrook. Despite the results, the boys did the school proud yet again.
Week 3 saw a change in weather and the pouring rain of the first two weeks was replaced by glorious sunshine. First up, we faced a strong St Teresa's side. A tight first half saw us 1-0 down. A few quick goals after half-time did the damage and the game finished 4-0. Our second game of the day pitted us against Jubilee. Again, a very tight game but after hitting the bar and a few good saves from their goalkeeper, we were unable to hit the back fo the net and eventually lost 3-0. A huge thank you to the boys for their spirit and effort. Also, a big thank you to all the parents who have supported the team over the past few weeks...especially the parent governors who have been an incredible help - the team couldn't have functioned without them.
The next fixtures are after Christmas.
