Uniform Information

School uniform is an essential part of school life as it creates a unified community and enables pupils to feel a sense of belonging.

It is school policy that all children wear the correct uniform to school every day. If your child does not come to school wearing the correct uniform, then we will provide them with a school jumper / cardigan to wear for the day.

Our uniform is as follows:

  • Red sweatshirt or cardigan (with or without logo)
  • Grey or black trousers
  • Grey or black skirt or pinafore (in summer a red and white checked summer dress or playsuit can be worn)
  • White or red polo shirt or white shirt/blouse
  • Grey, black or white socks
  • Grey, black or red tights
  • Black sensible shoes (trainers are not acceptable)
  • Red book bag (with or without logo)
  • School fleeces are also available to purchase.

Trainers and open-toed sandals are not considered suitable footwear.

High heels are not permitted

Black jeans are not permitted in day-to-day uniform

 Our PE kit is as follows:

  • black shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms;
  • plain white T-shirt with or without the school logo;
  • plain zipped hoodie or sweatshirt or normal school jumper
  • black pumps / plimsolls or trainers.

Plain jogging bottoms, hoodies/sweatshirts are preferred.

For swimming

  • Swimming costume or trunks (Bikinis or baggy shorts are NOT acceptable)
  • Towel

 Jewellery

Children are permitted to wear one stud earring in each ear for school. All jewellery must be removed for P.E and swimming. If the child has newly pierced ears, then earrings MUST be covered with tape (provided by parent/carer) during P.E lessons. This will be allowable for 4 weeks after which point the child will be expected to remove their own earrings.

Labelling

All items of clothing must be clearly labelled with your child’s name so that any lost items can be returned. Please use sew/iron on labels or an indelible marker, not biro as this washes off after a while.

If a child goes home in another child’s clothing by accident, for example their jumper, parents/ carers should send the clothing not belonging to them back into school to their child’s teacher.

Any lost clothing is taken to the lost property box. All lost property is retained for half a term and is disposed of if it is not collected within this time.
